Shannon founded Lakeshore Employee Benefits in 1998 after nearly 15 years in corporate America. He had a vision to offer more personalized service as an alternative to larger, impersonal agencies. Shannon is licensed in both Health and Life products, and holds a Chartered Benefits Consultant designation as well as Self-Funding and ACA credentials issued by the National Association of Health Underwriters. While growth is critical for any business, his number one goal has always been to provide excellent service to current clients.

 

Community service is also very important to Shannon. He believes that something is owed  back to the communities in which we work and make a living. He currently serves on the  Board of Directors for Alive on the Lakeshore/UNITY Festival, Board of Directors for Love N' Grace, Board Legislative and Political Action Committee (PAC) Chair for the National Association of Benefit and Insurance Professionals, Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber & Traverse Connect, Board Member for the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM), and also serves on the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee.

 

Shannon lives in Norton Shores with his wife of 31 years, Lisa and their 8-year-old Maltipoo, Broadway. They have 3 adult children along with a Son and Daughter-in-law.
