After college Shannon worked almost 10 years in national sales for Kraft Foods and Baxter Healthcare. In 1993 Shannon returned to Muskegon taking a position with Northwestern Mutual Life. Shannon started working full time in employee benefits in 1994 incorporating the LEAD Agency (d.b.a Lakeshore Employee Benefits) in 1997. Shannon’s current civic commitments include: board member for Alive on the Lakeshore, Lakeshore Area Youth for Christ, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Michigan and as a member of the National Steering Council for the Association of Health Insurance Advisors. In July of 2009 Shannon was invited to Washington DC to submit written and oral testimony to the US House of Representatives and Senator Stabenow’s office regarding health insurance reform. Shannon has also testified in Lansing and given talks about health insurance reform around the State of Michigan. Shannon is also a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters.

Ken started his career in insurance working for C.N.A. Insurance Company in Chicago Illinois as an underwriter working on large company medical accounts. After serving 2 and half years as an underwriter, C.N.A. promoted Ken to large group sales in the Detroit service area. Ken spent approximately 8 years as an account executive for C.N.A. Ken also served as a senior account executive with CIGNA in the Detroit area. In 1992 Ken accepted the sales director position for Physicians Health Plan located in Muskegon Michigan. In 2002 Ken became a Partner at Lakeshore Employee Benefits located in Muskegon Michigan.

Throughout college Steve worked in the Food & Beverage industry as a waiter, bartender and manager. It was in these positions that Steve learned the importance of outstanding customer service. After graduating from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor degree in business management and marketing, Steve worked as the Director of Marketing for the Grand Haven Golf Club. In June of 2006 Steve joined Lakeshore Employee Benefits. Steve enjoys the analytical side of employee benefits and enjoys helping clients manage their cost while keeping high level benefits in place. Steve’s current civic commitments include: board member for the Parks & Recreation department for the city of Grand Haven, graduate of Leadership Muskegon, graduate of Leadership Connect Grand Haven and member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Steve grew up in Livonia, Michigan with his parents and two siblings. After graduating from Churchill High School, he attended Eastern Michigan University. Steve has worked in the insurance industry since he was 18 years old, eventually leading to a very successful career with AFLAC. During his college years, Steve also went to school for IT, gaining a network administrator certification. While at EMU, Steve had a strong focus on pre-law and business. Building strong business relationships and problem solving has always come naturally for Steve. These experiences and traits are what led Steve to West Michigan, where he opened an office in downtown Grand Rapids, MI for Lakeshore Employee Benefits. Steve brings over six years of solid business and insurance experience to the agency.

Zach grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan with his parents and four siblings. After graduating from Kalamazoo Christian High School, he attended Trinity Christian College in Chicago. He then transferred to Grand Valley State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. He started his career in employee benefits four years ago with AFLAC. There he developed many long lasting business relationships and was the recipient of a number of different sales awards. He joined Lakeshore Employee Benefits in order to focus on health insurance and be able to diversify his product offerings. Zach resides in Kentwood and is co-manager of the downtown Grand Rapids office of Lakeshore Employee Benefits.
